McDonald’s has announced that it will prolong its $5 deal, allowing customers to enjoy a full meal for a mere few bucks.
According to CNBC, franchise owners agreed to extend the $5 Value Meal in around 80% of local locations. Now, the deal will remain in effect until December. McDonald’s, on the other hand, has a number of different promotions that consumers may take advantage of. CNBC reports that restaurants will offer more local specials and promotions throughout the autumn. In the near future, the McDonald’s app will also provide further savings.
McDonald’s said in June that it will launch the $5 Meal Deal to encourage consumers concerned about the consequences of inflation to return to its restaurants for a burger and some sides.
“We heard our fans loud and clear – they’re looking for even more great value from us, and this summer, that’s exactly what they’ll get,” said Joe Erlinger, president of McDonald’s USA, in a statement sent to Food & Wine. “This summer, they’ll get even more great value from us.”
Our DNA has always conveyed a feeling of value. We are devoted to upholding that heritage by giving consumers with excellent and affordable choices that they can enjoy whether they come through our doors, drive-thru, or order through our mobile app.
The offer includes a McDouble or a McChicken sandwich, a small order of fries, four Chicken McNuggets, and a small soft drink. A tiny soft drink is also provided.
“Affordable prices and creating memorable moments are what McDonald’s is all about,” said John Palmaccio, an owner-operator of McDonald’s and Chair of the Operator’s National Advertising Fund, in a statement issued in June. As small company owners, it is our responsibility to give excellent value to our communities at the exact moment they need it the most.
The $5 Meal Deal is the perfect complement to the daily local deals that customers can get in-store and on the app. For example, the bargain I am offering at my Savannah, Georgia restaurants, which is 25% off any purchase of $10 or more, complements the $5 Meal bargain well.
To add insult to injury, local franchise ballots have yet to be held, indicating that more individuals will join the community in the coming weeks. To add insult to injury, don’t forget that McDonald’s Free Fries Friday will last till the end of the year.
In addition, McDonald’s has confirmed to Food & Wine that it will offer a deal on $0.50 Double Cheeseburgers on National Cheeseburger Day (September 18), a $2 McCrispy sandwich on National Fried Chicken Sandwich Day (November 9), and $1 10-piece Chicken McNuggets between November 4 and December 2 (valid once a week during the deal’s run).
