Wendy's is offering $1 Frostys through September thanks to McDonald's

If the ice cream machine at your neighborhood McDonald’s breaks down, you don’t need to worry about it because Wendy’s has your back.

Wendy’s made the announcement on Wednesday that it has formed a partnership with the creator of McBroken.com, a website that allows users to determine whether or not the Golden Arches restaurant of their choice is currently equipped with a functional ice cram machine. The purpose of this partnership is to determine “where a Frosty Fix was needed the most.”

They discovered that the machines belonging to “the other guy” frequently experience downtime that lasts for two to three hours at a time, and the cities of Chicago, Houston, Las Vegas, New York, and Los Angeles have the highest amount of downtime.

As a result of the findings, Wendy’s is providing customers who are enthusiastic about fast food and are looking for something sweet with a “reliable” Frosty treat for only one dollar until the end of September.

A press release issued by Wendy’s stated that the company is aware of the fact that when customers have a craving for a sweet treat, they deserve to have a dependable and delectable option to choose from.

In order to ensure that customers who have a craving for sweets are satisfied, Wendy’s is coordinating efforts to bring Frosty treats to customers during times when they are in the greatest need of them.

In addition to determining which McDonald’s restaurants have ice cream machines that are either operational, broken, or inconclusive, McBroken.com also displays the locations of nearby Wendy’s restaurants, allowing customers to visit Wendy’s after discovering that their Golden Arches store is unable to provide them with the sweet treat they desire.

Fans may want to avoid trying to get a McFlurry during lunch or snack time, or rather anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., when machines are most often unavailable, according to data from McBroken.com. The chain, which is based in Ohio, reminded customers that a Frosty craving can come at any time. However, fans may want to avoid trying to get a McFlurry during these times.

“Wendy’s fans can count on the Frosty when they need it the most,” they said, adding that customers have the option of purchasing their small Chocolate Frosty or opting for the limited return of the Vanilla Frosty.
